Uninstall it according to the developer's instructions. Report #2 indicates that you still have CleanMyMac installed. If I can't figure it out quickly, I'll need to erase my hard drive and go back to my original operating system, possibly do an internet recovery, ANY HELP or suggestions would be appreciated. At this point, it has become pretty much impossible! I'm a graphic designer and working from home so I can care for my husband after his recent open heart surgery. I've tried everything suggested from various websites on the internet to no avail. Cleaned up the hard drive, did a Mac recovery, zapped the PRAM, ran diagnostics, even did another upload of Big Sur again thinking there was a hiccup when doing the original update. I've made another user account and rebooted from it which didn't help. I power off numerous times and if I do eventually get the computer to start up, internet and operation of any program is excessively slow. When I shut down, I get the start up screen but nothing on my desktop, no icons, no dock, just spinning beach ball, can't access anything. Beach ball primarily appears when trying to make changes to system preferences. I'm having the same problem with the dreaded spinning beach ball on my MacBook Pro 2019 after updating to Big Sur.ĭidn't have any problems before this update. I have run both disk aid and Apple Hardware test.Dont know if CleanMyMac could be part of the problem? CleanMyMac is stull running, constantly telling me to quit unresponsive apps. I have run CleanMyMac, disabled all logon items, deleted both google drive and dropbox desktop apps.If I use ctrl+tab to toggle between tabs, It stops on the desired tab but suddenly jumps to the next. When I use my wireless keyboard cmn+w to close a tab, it often closes more than one tab. When type something in the search window, a hit on the return key seems unresponsive - before it eventually starts to load. When I toggle between tabs they take forever to reload.I initially thought safari was the problem, but with safari closed Im still experiencing problems.Switching between different apps, it takes some time for the active app to appear.

Basically all apps has a lag when opening and when using. Even opening "about this Mac" had me waiting.
